URL Favicons

A favicon is an icon that displays within the browsers address bar or browser tabs, depending on the browser. They also appear beside the website's name in the bookmarks menu, favorites list, and History list.

To add your own unique favicon to your Point2 Agent website, first you will have to upload your favicon image to a hidden page:

  • Sign in to your Point2 account at
  • Click Websites from the top menu
  • Click Agent Site
  • Click Edit next to the website needed
  • Click on Add a New Page
  • Title the page, click OK
  • On the new page, check the box next to Hidden at the top of the page
  • Click Add Content in any of the page columns
  • Click Add to Page next to Custom Content
  • Title the module or leave it blank, click Next
  • Click the Image icon
  • Click the Upload tab
  • Click Choose File, then browse your computer for the file
  • Click Send it to the Server
  • Ensure that the image size is less than 16px X 16px
  • Copy the image URL from the Image Properties box (Paste the URL in a notepad or sticky note for later use)
  • Click OK, then click OK again

Now, you will need to enter a snippet of code to the <head> section of your website. Follow these instructions:

  • While in the Edit mode of your website, hover over the Manage Website tab
  • Click on Search Engine Information
  • In the <head> section enter the following code: <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="ENTER YOUR IMAGE URL HERE">
  • Replace ENTER YOUR IMAGE URL HERE with the URL you have pasted in a notepad or sticky note leaving the quotes. 
  • Your code should look something like this: <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF=" original.jpg">
  • Click Apply to All Pages
