Add links to other websites

Links can be added to your website in a couple of different ways.

The first most basic and structured method is via a link content section. A Link content section will allow you to add a grouping of links.

To accomplish this, please follow these instructions:

  • Sign in to your Point2 account at www.point2.com
  • Click Websites from the top menu
  • Click Agent Site
  • Click Edit in the Agent Site section
  • Select the page you wish to add links to from your menu list
  • Click the green Add Content button from one of the columns (the Links section works well in the side column)
  • On the Add Content page, select the General Purpose tab
  • In the Links section, click Add to Page
  • Add a title
  • Click on the Next button at the bottom of the screen to add your new Links section
  • To add your links, click on Please Add a Link Item
  • Enter a title, the website address and a brief description of the site
  • Click OK to add the link
  • Click Add a Link Item if you have another link to add
  • If more than one link is added, you can arrange their order using the blue arrows in the displayed table of links

  • To see how your links will appear go to Back to Edit Website then click Preview Website

The second more flexible method is via a hyperlink within your customizable content sections. This type of link allows you to add links to both text and images.

To create your hyperlink:

  • Select the page you wish to add links to from your menu list
  • Select Edit Content from a Custom Content module or Edit Header for the section you wish to add links to
  • Highlight the text or image in the editor you wish to link
  • Click the Link Icon (Looks like 2 chain links)
  • A smaller window will pop-up
  • To link to another site select the URL option and type in the URL (i.e. http://www.asite.com)
  • If you wish to link to your own site choose the option for My Page and select the page you wish to link to in the drop down menu.
  • Enter the rollover text you wish to be displayed when the mouse is over the link
  • Choose a Target as either Same Window, or Open New Window
  • Click OK to add your link
  • Click OK at the bottom of the editor to save changes
