Set up Google Analytics in the blog

It’s very easy to track performance with Google Analytics for the WordPress blog. You'll need to enable it in the blog dashboard and set it up once and then you can view the performance within the dashboard at any time.

  • Sign into your Point2 account at
  • Click the Websites from the top menu
  • Click Blog
  • In the WordPress blog section, click Manage
  • In the left menu click Analytics
  • On this page you’ll see a box that looks like this:

  • Click the link that says authenticate your Google Analytics profile here
  • Click the button Authenticate with your Google account
  • A pop up box appears to sign in to your google account by entering your email address with Google, enter this and click Next
  • Enter your password with Google
  • Next the pop up says that Google Analytics by Yoast would like to view your Google Analytics data, click the Accept button
  • Next it will say to please copy this code, switch to your application and paste it there. Highlight everything, right click and select Copy
  • Close the pop up box
  • Paste the code in the box that looks like this:

  • Click the Save authentication code button
  • Now you’ll see a drop down with light grey writing to Select a profile that looks like this:

  • Click the drop down arrow and choose the profile that you have your Point2 Agent working with in Google
  • Click the blue Save Changes button

You’ve now completed setting up Google Analytics and can see the statistics gathered for your account by clicking Analytics. You can log in to Google Analytics to view further statistics as well.
